Baby Nursery
The Challenge
Help expectant couple convert their home office into a baby nursery without overdoing the baby girl theme. Create a room that baby can grow into, and allows for baby #2 in the future. Coordinate placement of accessories so the room does not feel too busy. Find appropriate nursery furniture for clients to register or purchase. Design the room layout to be practical for first-time parents, yet restful for baby.
Our Solution
We chose a soothing green paint color to coordinate with the bedding, and selected furniture that can be used well beyond baby’s first year. The crib converts to a toddler bed, and the changing table is also a dresser. Created a quiet corner area with comfy glider for mommy to nurse, or daddy to rock baby to sleep. Placed a princess canopy over the crib from the matching curtains, and designed a custom valance to soften the shutters.
