The Challenge
Design a dream kitchen for an avid cook and her active family. The homeowners waited more than a decade to begin this major remodel, and they wanted to do it right. They hired me to help them create their vision, coordinate the details, and provide drawings so their contractor could build it. The objective was to expand the small, outdated kitchen by creating a large, open and inviting space that is truly the ”heart” of the home.
Our Solution
Designed a plan that removed a divisive wall and dramatically increased the kitchen’s square footage, resulting in a more functional layout with a comfortable flow. Assessed cooking habits and storage needs, then designated appropriate cabinets and placement for items based on need & frequency of use. Developed detailed drawings and color renderings to help the client visualize the finished product and approve the design direction. Provided concept-to-completion design services for ultimate results.
